Service for removing illegal publications emerges in Russia

A remapping service has emerged in Russia, which specializes in eliminating unwanted information: slander, outdated data or attacks from ill-wishers.

The founder of Adves, businessman and investor Mikhail Raitsyn, told Izvestia how to deal with compromising details, false information and black PR on the Internet.

According to him, the number of customers who need reputation protection in digital, especially at the stage of scaling up business in Russia and abroad, is growing every year.

The company specifically selected industry lawyers specializing in reputational risks in order to assist in data remapping in Russian and foreign media.

“To work with the image in the online space, we took experienced PR, ORM and SERM specialists specializing in Russian and international digital and offline platforms. They have virtually unlimited access to online PR and article marketing exchanges, which are partners of the service, “said the investor.

Raitsyn noted that this approach provides Adves a flexible pricing policy which is around 30% below the market average.

“In order to work with any negative news or information from the very first hours of publications and reactively prevent further distribution, as well as maximize the speed and efficiency of PR campaigns at any level and anywhere in the world, cooperation has been established with 14 thousand media firms around the world,” – added the head of the company.

The target audience of the service are companies and individuals who are faced with a reputation crisis, as well as players who are entering a new level of market coverage and for whom it is important to prevent the appearance of inaccurate information in search engines, media and social networks.

According to experts, the total online reputation management market in Russia in 2018 amounted to more than 16 billion rubles. According to forecasts, by 2023 it will grow to 43 billion rubles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on blocking information that offends human dignity, public morality, the state or state symbols, on March 18.

Amendments were made to Art. 20.1 Administrative Code “Small hooliganism.” For violation of the law for the first time, a fine of from 30 thousand to 100 thousand rubles is supposed to be imposed. At repeated – 200 thousand rubles.

In the future, sanctions can reach up to 300 thousand rubles and with the possibility of arrest for 15 days as an alternative. Decisions to block sites with insults are expected to be made by prosecutors.
